Beyond Our Comprehension

I shouldn't be surprised when the loving-kindness of our Lord outshines the dark places in the world.

Because it happens all the time.

Just when we think a particular situation is bleak, God sends a ray of light, revealing once again how His divine and loving purpose ultimately prevails.

Always!

NO POWER, NO WEAPON, NO ERROR, NO SIN, will be able to overshadow or overcome the loving purpose of our God.

This brings courage, does it not?

Even if it does take us by surprise, because we forgot about how it always happens -- God's faithfulness brings hope...hope to carry on.

This week our family received a fresh understanding of the power of prayer and the enduring power of His love. And He reminded me of a simple truth of his creation: love does not divide, it multiplies.

A love beyond our comprehension.

{Easy} Electronic Blessings

Sometimes I long for the days of "yesteryear," when it seemed that everything was simpler; when you walked to the mailbox -- and once you arrived you would often collect an envelope with familiar handwriting just waiting for you to open.

Though I miss those days, I embrace our new opportunities too. Have you ever sent an e-card?

Today I sent electronic blessings to several people who have been on my heart and in my prayers. Sure, I would rather send handwritten cards with beautifully written notes inside, but I wanted them to arrive TODAY.

It was easy.

DaySpring is my favorite online blessing sender. They offer a variety of free cards for all occasions that you can personalize and deliver at an appointed time to an email address, or to a list of email addresses. You can also post them on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and many other places where people "live" electronically.

Click here: DaySpring E-Cards, to see a card I'm sending to you. Then click to play.

And if you choose not to click on the link, please accept the blessing below:

About 31 days of EASY:
So many things in life are hard.  And some of those hard things are necessary. But why make things harder than they need to be?  For 31 days, I'll be writing about ways to bring ease.  I would be honored if you came along on my journey.  Pack light.

If you want to know more about the 31 Day Blog Challenge, click here:
Nesting Place: It doesn't have to be perfect to be beautiful.

or here: Why 31 days?

Many Blessings to you.

*****Wondrous Love *****

The babe born in the stable grew up and said:
“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” Luke 18:16-17
And how does a child receive love?

Easily
Playfully
Hopefully
Gleefully
Trustingly
Greedily
Immediately

Unreservedly

Next Time You Look...

"Look at it this way,” I advise, tapping at lettered keys.  “See it my way,”

...I silently plead.

Looking at outward appearance is not going to tell you what’s inside.

...not always

A life-changing gift can be wrapped, deceptively small.
...a prayer, perhaps?

A house can fit inside an envelope,

...a cure inside a nut.

But, next time you look...

...See

Sometimes we look with our eyes closed ,
expecting things to appear as we have conceived.

But truth has a discernible shape

...a shape that can be relied upon

If  you look with your heart,

...especially.

You Are Loved

God loves the human race
He loved us then
He loves us now...
but...we only have one lifespan
to love each other.

Should this be my last day
....my last opportunity...
I want you to know you are loved.

A Broken Heart

Benediction Sunflower
Her heart is broken and there is little anyone can do or say to make her feel better. All we can say is how sorry we feel for her and her family. Her son was handsome, smart, and kind -- full of promise. All we can do is bear witness.

I am certain that even though she is willing to believe there was a reason for him to die at 24...no reason will satisfy.

NONE!

Grief will be as deep and long as he was beautiful and young.
"Dear Father God, you are familiar with sorrow; surround her with compassionate people to hold her, silently close; people to bear witness to the beautiful life of the boy she loves, as she passes through the pain of grief that sears her broken heart.

This hurts...there are no words to make it stop.

NONE!

And, Father, help the rest of us do the only other thing we can do at this time: help us to actively love the people around us today and every day that we are given. " Amen

Let Me Sow Love

My Father sent me a  reminder today.

I was looking for a good place to take a photo of my little eggshell seed starter.

"Oh yes!  The garden window."
Then I saw it -- my prompt.

Left-click on the photo to read it for yourself.

There are all kinds of seeds to sow and many ways to do it; the important part is to take the first step. Let's get planting!

LOVE, Always and Forever.

This being the month where LOVE receives special recognition, I thought I would "STEP" out and share a little talk I had with my Father - God this morning about  LOVE.  Here is how it went:
Q and A of Love
Where is love?
In the heart.
What is the heart?
The pump.
And what does it pump?
The blood.
And what is the blood?
The life.
And what is the life?
The material form love takes.
What do I do with the material?
Love (work it...circulate it)
Why?
Because love carries life.
And when life stops?
Cardiac arrest.
Oh, then love is life?
Yes.
And when life ends?
Life never ends.
Then, when the heart stops...where is love?
With me (Jesus), always and forever.
And for those not with you?
Without me (Love) always and forever.
Then to be without you is hell?
Yes.
Because it is to be without love?
Yes.
I love you Father!
I know.
Please help me to love today.
My pleasure.

There you have it. Now off the soap-box and off to the gym to do some cardio!

(PS This convo is merely a depiction of what took place in my heart and mind and in no way represents direct quoting.)

My Father's Words

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices in the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." Love never fails
