Two {Easy} Recycled Tool Organizers and an {Easy} Photo Organizer / Editor

The saying that a photo is worth a thousand words, it's true, you know...

On day 18 of 31 days of easy, I'm taking the easy way out with a super short post.

This wooden pallet-turned-tool-organizer was not only easy, it was free!

Here is another fun and easy little organizer. With a row of clothes pins glued on the bottom, an old sign, turned backwards, has found a new purpose in life. (Yes, Mom, it is from the cabin.) It is also one of several signs in our garden awaiting some skillful hand-lettering.

The lack of lettering skill is no barrier in the digital realm, however. A while ago, I took our recycled sign to Picasa's free photo organizing software and did some virtual "painting" to make a logo for my garden blog.

I use this glove-holder every day!

Here's what it looks like tonight. Plain green. I'm still contemplating what the sign should say.

Any suggestions?

About 31 days of EASY:
So many things in life are hard.  And some of those hard things are necessary. But why make things harder than they need to be?  For 31 days, I'll be writing about ways to bring ease. I would be honored if you came along on my journey.  Pack light.

  1. Utilize the warm air blowing from beneath your refrigerator to dry wet shoes at any time of the year. As a divorced Mom with 2 kids I discovered this method of either drying wet shoes/warming cold shoes during winter months before entering the great outdoors.

    1. Ha ha, Hillside Happy Hens...it doesn't get cold - or wet - where we live. But your suggestion reminds me of the dog of my childhood who used to hang out right next to the floor register to stay warm.

  2. I love this tip!
As the seasons are grinding to a halt...for growing and such...I need a place to put some of these things for easy access. Might as well--make it pretty.
I may put my tools in a handy pallet wall and write some witty words on there too!
have a great weekend. Love your Easy tips...and I like the idea that Hillside Happy Hens left too. Hadn't thought of using that hot air!
