Wherever Here Is, You Are

Here is now and now is the time for which I have been given Grace.  What is past is only memory; what is to be, only a dream.  Here comes my prince, ready to scramble some eggs, recently collected from our backyard chickens.  Here is my cup, covered in hand painted sunflowers, filled with coffee, milk and cream – all produced far from hereHere is an opportunity to think about the present, to pray, to plan the day.  Here is the keyboard receiving instructions to translate my thoughts into language...thoughts that can be shared far from here.

Oh Father, God, I praise you for putting me here in this time and place!  Thank you, that wherever here is, you are there
sparrow falls: there you are
diagnosis discovered: there you are
first breath fills tiny lungs; last draft, expelled: there you are
stretch class: there
war zone: there
sunrise: there
wherever here is, you are there!  Thank you!

  5. Lovely! Thank you for sharing. I'm visiting from Five Minute Friday :) Particularly need to remember this: What is past is only memory; what is to be, only a dream.

I get so caught up in past and future sometimes I lose sight of the actual here and now.

    1. Yes, Jacki...we all do. But isn't it relieving to think that we can be present in the current moment and just be here? ...not to be worried about what will be or was...only to trust God for now.

My Father's Words

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud, it is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices in the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." Love never fails
